Lorry Crashes into Road Divider on MT Haryono, Traffic towards Cawang Congested

A road accident involving a lorry occurred on Jalan Letjen MT Haryono in East Jakarta. The lorry struck a road divider.

In a post on its X account, the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Traffic Management Centre (TMC Polda Metro Jaya) said the incident happened at 4.40am on Monday, 19 October 2026. Traffic at the scene heading towards Cawang was congested.

“A lorry has struck the busway divider at Letjen M.T. Haryono No. 25, RT 4/RW 1, Cawang, Kramat Jati district, East Jakarta, directly in front of the Shell petrol station. Traffic is currently congested,” TMC Polda Metro Jaya wrote.

Photos posted by the agency showed the lorry’s front left corner hitting the concrete divider. The left side of the vehicle was damaged.

Debris from the lorry was scattered across the road, and the vehicle appeared to be leaning.
