Lorin Group Solo Celebrates Indonesia's 81st Independence Day with Festive Activities
The spirit of independence coloured the celebration of the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia within Lorin Group Solo. Various activities were held to enliven the independence moment while strengthening togetherness, cohesiveness, social awareness, and the spirit of mutual cooperation among the entire Lorin Group Solo family.
The series of activities for the 81st Independence Day was filled with various events involving employees from multiple units and departments. These included fishing competitions, volleyball, traditional games, cardboard relay races, and a pencil-into-bottle challenge. The various independence-themed competitions were packaged in a lively, creative, and communal manner. The competitions not only brought excitement and laughter but also tested teamwork, agility, concentration, and cooperation among participants.
In addition to the competitions, Lorin Group Solo also held a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity in the Kampoeng Ikan area of Lorin Solo Hotel. The CSR activity was part of the 81st Independence Day commemoration as a demonstration of Lorin Group Solo’s care and contribution to the environment and surrounding community.
Through the CSR activity, the spirit of independence was realised not only through celebration but also through concrete actions that benefit the environment and society. This activity also served as a form of Lorin Group Solo’s commitment to continuously building positive relationships with the community around the hotel area.
The peak of the 81st Independence Day commemoration was held on Monday, 17 August 2026, with a flag ceremony at the East Field of Lorin Hotel Solo. The ceremony was attended by Lorin Group Solo management and employees dressed in red and white. The solemnity of the ceremony served as a reminder of the heroes’ struggle and a moment to rekindle the spirit of nationalism in daily life and the workplace.
After the flag ceremony, the festivities continued with the Merdeka Parade. All participants together paraded around the Lorin Solo Hotel, Dwangsa Solo Hotel, and Lorin Syariah Hotel Solo areas. Carrying red and white attributes, participants joined the parade in an atmosphere full of spirit and togetherness. The Merdeka Parade symbolised unity and illustrated the spirit of the entire Lorin Group Solo family to continue moving forward together.
The series of activities for the 81st Independence Day became a momentum for all employees to build a spirit of togetherness, cross-departmental cohesiveness, sportsmanship, creativity, and concern for the environment and society.
