Looking for scapegoats

From Media Indonesia

Several newspapers have reported that State Minister for National Development Planning Sri Mulyani Indrawati has said that taxation is the constraint that the government is facing in its efforts to boost investment.

Instead of finding a way to boost investment, Sri Mulyani has tried to find a scapegoat. When taking over this position from Kwik Kian Gie, she said: "Indonesia absolutely needs investment to support its economic growth. Indonesia cannot expect to rely on consumption and fiscal policies to boost its economic growth. It is still hard for the government to rely on the fiscal sector because the government still sustains large debts".

What Sri Mulyani said when assuming her post was quite different from what she says now. Today, she blames other factors, such as taxation. Please, madam, do not look for scapegoats.
