Longevity Becomes a New Trend, Experts Stress the Importance of a Healthy Lifestyle
The increasing life expectancy of the population is driving a shift in the orientation of health services, from a focus on treatment to prevention and improving quality of life. The trend of healthy ageing and longevity is beginning to develop alongside growing public awareness to remain healthy and productive into old age. This phenomenon emerged during an Intimate Talkshow & Afternoon Tea titled ‘The Science of Aging Well: Cells, Hormones, and Longevity’ organised by Regenerasia in Jakarta on Wednesday (22/7/2026). The forum highlighted the role of cell health and hormonal balance as the primary foundation for maintaining quality of life at every stage of age. Marketing & Partnership Manager of SCCR, Jutadi Azis, said the development of stem cell technology in Indonesia opens new opportunities for the development of regenerative medicine services. According to him, the presence of stem cell products that have obtained halal certification from the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) is expected to increase public trust in the utilisation of this technology. He explained that stem cells continue to be developed as part of a medical approach focused on cell and tissue regeneration, thus potentially supporting the body’s recovery process in various medical conditions. ‘Stem cell technology is one of the innovations in the field of regenerative medicine. However, maintaining cell quality still starts with daily lifestyle habits. A balanced diet, adequate sleep, and regular exercise are the main foundations for maintaining cell health so that it functions optimally,’ said Jutadi. Nonetheless, he stressed that health technology cannot replace the importance of a healthy lifestyle. According to him, the success of a regenerative approach still depends on the body’s basic condition, which is influenced by daily habits. Similarly, Aesthetic Clinician Veritas Identitas Isabella Sillar said hormones play an important role in regulating energy, metabolism, the healing process, and a person’s quality of life. Therefore, understanding changes in the body’s energy is considered the first step to recognising overall health conditions. ‘Energy is the foundation of daily body functions and overall health. By understanding when the body is in its most optimal condition, when it begins to experience a decline in energy, and the factors that influence it, we can identify the root cause of a condition, not just treat the symptoms,’ she said. According to Isabella, consistently monitored energy change patterns can also provide an overview of sleep quality, metabolic health, hormonal balance, and a person’s emotional state. She added that hormonal changes with age are an unavoidable biological process. However, hormonal balance can still be maintained through a nutritious diet, regular physical activity, stress management, and periodic health checks to support a healthier ageing process. Along with the increasing public interest in preventive health services, Regenerasia also announced plans to open a Longevity Center in the central Jakarta area within approximately the next six months. The facility is designed as a wellness centre that combines preventive, regenerative, and science-based educational approaches. Through the development of this centre, the company hopes to broaden public access to modern health services while reinforcing the understanding that a long life should ideally be accompanied by an optimal quality of life. This discussion forum is the second agenda in a series of educational events organised by Regenerasia. The company aims to continue holding similar activities as part of efforts to improve public health literacy through credible, evidence-based information and to encourage people to invest in their health from an early age.
