The Perintis Merah Putih suspension bridge in Putridalem Village, Jatitujankuh District, Majalengka Regency, has officially entered the construction phase. The bridge is designed to serve as a connecting access point between Putridalem Village and Randegan Wetan Village.

The Perintis Merah Putih suspension bridge will span approximately 108 metres with a width of 1.8 metres. Given its dimensions, it is set to become the longest suspension bridge in the Majalengka Regency.

The start of the bridge’s construction was marked by a groundbreaking ceremony performed by the Regent of Majalengka, Eman Suherman, and the Commander of the 0617/Majalengka Military District, Lieutenant Colonel Inf Rendra Dwi Jayanto, on Friday (18/09/2026).

In addition to commencing the construction of the Perintis Merah Putih bridge in Putridalem Village, the 0617/Majalengka Military District command, alongside the Majalengka Regency Government, also inaugurated the Garuda Concrete Bridge in Bojongcideres Village, Dawuan District, which connects to Gandasari Village. Simultaneously, a borehole was inaugurated in Bantarjati Village, Kertajati District.

The Commander of 0617/Majalengka, Lieutenant Colonel Inf Rendra Dwi Jayanto, stated that this infrastructure development is a tangible manifestation of the state’s presence among the community through the TNI Army’s unity-with-the-people programme.

“Regarding the boreholes, the 0617/Majalengka Military District has constructed them at four locations. These boreholes are intended to facilitate areas prone to clean water shortages,” he explained.

The four locations include Bantarjati Village in Kertajati District, Cipaku Village in Kadipaten District, Wanajaya Village in Kasokandel District, and Naggerang Village in Palasah District. The wells are expected to assist the community, particularly in regions facing limited clean water resources during the dry season.
