Long Road for Pinisi to Overcome Financing Hurdles in the Real Sector

Business.com, JAKARTA — Authorities have introduced a new programme, Percepatan Intermediasi Nasional (Pinisi), to unravel financing obstacles in the real sector. Nevertheless, business circles doubt that Pinisi can serve as an effective solution to financing issues. Bank Indonesia (BI) officially launched the Pinisi programme on Monday (27/4/2026). Pinisi is designed as a cross-agency platform to tackle financing anomalies in the real sector: on one hand, abundant banking liquidity; on the other, stagnant and suboptimal credit demand from the real sector.
