TANGERANG — A black Daihatsu Sigra parked for an extended period at a bend on Gatot Subroto Road in Cibodas, Tangerang City, has aroused suspicion among local residents. The vehicle has reportedly been stationed at the location for months with no clarity regarding its owner.

The black Daihatsu Sigra is frequently parked on the roadside near the pavement and turnaround area, causing concern amongst passing motorists.

A local resident, Susi (not her real name), said she had once seen a man allegedly using the vehicle. However, she could not confirm whether the man was the actual owner.

Susi claimed she had confronted the man several times about parking the vehicle at the location, but her warnings went unheeded.

“I’ve warned him repeatedly but he ignores it,” she said.

She also expressed suspicion about the vehicle’s condition. According to her, the driver frequently opens the bonnet before starting the car.

“I’m also worried it might be a stolen vehicle. Every time he wants to start it, he opens the engine hood first, tinkers with it for a while, closes it again, and then drives off,” Susi explained.

Meanwhile, another resident, Neni (40), said the vehicle had been at the location for a long time. She recalled seeing the vehicle since January 2026.

“It’s been sitting on the roadside for a very long time, on the pavement. It’s positioned right at the bend near the turnaround, so people who want to turn or make a U-turn often have difficulty,” Neni said.

However, Neni claimed not to know who the vehicle’s owner is. She initially suspected the car belonged to a nearby workshop, but upon enquiring directly, the workshop staff also had no knowledge of the vehicle’s origins.
