Long March from Tugu Tani, Student Masses Arrive Before Horse Statue Junction

Masses of students from Bung Karno University (UBK) and MH Thamrin University held a demonstration today. The student masses conducted a long march on foot from the Tugu Tani area to just before the Simpang Patung Kuda, passing through Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Central Jakarta. Based on monitoring at the location on Monday (15/6/2026), the student masses began walking from Tugu Tani at 14.30 WIB. They carried out the long march guided by one command vehicle. Student attributes were visible during the demonstration. The students also appeared to be carrying banners and posters containing their demands while shouting various chants and orations. “Long live students! Long live the Indonesian people!,” shouted an orator from the command vehicle. The student masses then stopped in front of BSI Tower, just before the Horse Statue junction. Police personnel and barricades were seen in front of the student masses. Meanwhile, traffic from the direction of Tugu Tani towards the Horse Statue was diverted to Jalan H Agus Salim. As a result of this protest action, traffic congestion occurred around Jalan H Agus Salim.
