JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk predicts that vehicle traffic entering and exiting the Jabotabek region during the extended Labour Day holiday from 1 May 2026 to 3 May 2026 will increase by 3.4 per cent compared to normal traffic. Jasa Marga President Director Rivan A Purwantono stated that this increase represents the cumulative traffic flow monitored through four main toll gates. Outbound trips from Jabotabek are still dominated by vehicles heading east towards Trans-Java and Bandung at 44.5 per cent, followed by west towards Merak at 30.2 per cent and south towards Puncak at 25.3 per cent. “Jasa Marga assures that road conditions, traffic flow, and the readiness of toll road operations under the Jasa Marga Group will run optimally, especially on toll road sections that are potential favourite tourist destinations for road users during the long holiday, including the Jagorawi Toll Road for Puncak and surrounding areas as well as Jakarta-Cikampek and Cipularang for directions to Trans-Java and Bandung,” said Rivan in a press release on Friday (1/5/2026). Rivan added that the increase in traffic volume must be accompanied by strengthening overall operational readiness. This begins with optimising transaction services, increasing field officer capacity, and utilising digital-based technology to maintain traffic smoothness, security, and comfort for toll road users. Jasa Marga is also preparing 24-hour operational services supported by mobile customer service fleets, tow trucks, ambulances, and patrols along the toll roads. In addition, traffic conditions are monitored in real time through more than 3,500 CCTV cameras spread across all Jasa Marga Group toll roads. “Enhancements are made through the optimisation of 24-hour operational services, including rest area facilities such as petrol stations and EV charging stations, and the utilisation of real-time CCTV technology in traffic monitoring,” said Rivan. Jasa Marga advises road users to prepare their journeys well, including ensuring that drivers and vehicles are in prime condition and roadworthy. Road users are also asked to download the Travoy application to obtain the latest information on traffic conditions, rest area locations, toll fares, and real-time CCTV access on various Jasa Marga Group toll roads.
