Long Holiday Sees 94% Surge in Trans-Java Traffic
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – A total of 50,702 vehicles travelled eastbound on the Trans-Java Toll Road via the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate on 26 May 2026 during the Eid al-Adha long holiday, PT Jasamarga Transjawa Toll (JTT) reported. This represents a 94.90% increase compared to normal traffic of 26,014 vehicles.
Meanwhile, 26,668 vehicles travelling westbound from eastern Trans-Java to Jakarta via Cikampek Utama Toll Gate were recorded, a 4.12% rise from the normal figure of 25,612 vehicles, according to Ria Marlinda Paallo, JTT’s Vice President of Corporate Secretary & Legal, on 27 May 2026.
Additionally, increased vehicle volumes were observed on several toll sections managed by JTT Group in Central Java and East Java:
Banyumanik Toll Gate: Eastbound traffic to Solo reached 30,857 vehicles (58.74% increase), while westbound to Jakarta totalled 18,634 vehicles (16.51% increase).
Warugunung Toll Gate: Traffic to Surabaya stood at 20,850 vehicles (16.43% increase), with westbound to Jakarta at 24,980 vehicles (44.01% increase).
Kejapanan Utama Toll Gate: 25,081 vehicles headed to Malang (29.26% increase) and 24,488 to Surabaya (17.35% increase).
“Although traffic conditions are smooth and relatively light, vigilance is still necessary. We urge road users to prioritise safety, maintain physical fitness, and use the Travoy app for real-time traffic updates, rest area locations, toll road CCTV, and emergency services,” Paallo said.
