Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) recorded that it served 228,293 LRT Jabodebek users during the national holiday and collective leave period spanning 27, 28, 30, 31 May, and 1 June 2026. During this period, morning mobility on the LRT Jabodebek was dominated by trips from the areas surrounding Harjamukti and Bekasi stations heading towards Jakarta.

Based on morning data from 06:00 to 10:00 WIB, Harjamukti Station was the busiest departure point with 11,398 users, followed by Dukuh Atas Bank Syariah Indonesia Station with 6,490 users and Cikunir 1 with 5,478 users. The primary destinations for LRT Jabodebek passengers were Dukuh Atas Station with 11,496 users, Cikoko Station with 5,827 users, and Pancoran with 5,657 users.

Conversely, during the afternoon and evening from 16:00 to 20:00 WIB, travel patterns reversed, with passenger movement heading towards Cibubur and Bekasi. High passenger volumes were noted at Harjamukti, Bekasi Barat, Jatibening Baru, and Cikoko stations, which served as favourite destinations for users returning to their residential areas.

“LRT Jabodebek user data shows an increasing public interest in utilising public transport during long holidays,” said the Manager of Public Relations for LRT Jabodebek, Radhitya Mardika.

He added that while usage was previously dominated by work commutes, the public is now also using the service to access tourist areas, shopping centres, and public spaces during national holidays. Areas directly connected to the LRT Jabodebek, such as Dukuh Atas, Kuningan, Pancoran, and Rasuna Said, remain favourite destinations due to their concentration of activities including cafes and malls.

Meanwhile, stations such as Harjamukti, Bekasi Barat, and Jatibening Baru play a vital role as high-mobility residential hubs for those travelling to and from Jakarta.

One of the key factors driving the high usage of LRT Jabodebek during the national holiday is the maximum fare of Rp10,000, alongside the ease of connectivity with various other transport modes, such as the KRL Commuterline, Airport Rail Link, Whoosh High-Speed Railway, Transjakarta, MRT Jakarta, and other feeder services.

KAI will continue to enhance the quality of service for LRT Jabodebek users to support increasingly dynamic public mobility and to encourage the use of modern, efficient, and sustainable public transportation.
