Long Easter Holiday: KAI Provides 226,000 Seats, Tickets Still Plentiful
Ahead of the 2026 Easter long weekend, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daerah Operasi (Daop) 1 Jakarta is operating a total of 85 train services per day, comprising 68 regular trains and 17 additional trains. This long holiday runs from 2–6 April 2026, coinciding with the Easter public holiday adjacent to the weekend. Manager of Public Relations for KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Franoto Wibowo, stated that the transport capacity during this period remains sufficient to meet public needs. Over the long weekend, KAI Daop 1 is providing a total of 226,225 seats, or an average of 46,003 seats per day. As of now, more than 126,000 tickets have been sold for travel from 2–6 April 2026. The 17 additional trains are intended to bolster regular services while offering more schedule and route options to the public.
