Long-Distance Train Services Return to Normal Following Accident in East Bekasi
Long-distance train (KAJJ) services have returned to normal operation without any cancellations today, Thursday (30/4/2026). PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) stated that the service recovery process is ongoing and showing positive progress. KAI Vice President of Corporate Communication, Anne Purba, conveyed that KAI continues to ensure services can run smoothly while fulfilling customer rights. Furthermore, during the operational adjustment period, train journeys may still experience slight delays. In line with the on-site handling process, KAI also provided updates on the handling of passengers’ left-behind belongings. As of Thursday (30/4/2026) at 08:30 WIB, a total of 85 items have been found. According to Anne, the items discovered by evacuation officers on Commuter Line No. 5568A have been handed over to Passenger Service officers at East Bekasi Station for recording and safekeeping. KAI urges users, families, or relatives who believe they have lost items to visit East Bekasi Station directly and contact the Lost and Found service for the retrieval process.
