Operations of Long-Distance Trains (KAJJ) on Friday, 1 May 2026, showed positive developments. PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) reported that almost all trips were running on time as the service recovery process continues. Based on the operational report for the period Friday (1/5) from 00:01 to 12:00 WIB, performance across various routes is improving thanks to gradual trip scheduling. From the arrival side, a total of 140 trips were recorded in the same period. As many as 99 trains or 70.71% arrived on time. Although there are still some delays, their duration is relatively minor, generally ranging from less than 20 to 30 minutes, thus still falling into the category of manageable delays during the operational normalisation phase. KAI Vice President of Corporate Communication, Anne Purba, emphasised that operational conditions continue to improve over time. “The majority of train trips have returned to running according to schedule. We continue to ensure that operational arrangements are carried out in a measured manner, prioritising safety, so that services can return to full normality,” she stated. KAI also assured that customer rights remain a priority, especially after the incident that impacted trips in East Bekasi. As of Friday (1/5) at 08:00 WIB, 20,750 KAJJ tickets have been successfully refunded to customers. The refund process is carried out at 100% excluding booking fees and can be accessed through various service channels, from station counters and the 121 Contact Center to the Access by KAI application. “KAI continues to maintain service consistency and ensure that train trips can return to optimal operation along with the ongoing recovery process,” Anne concluded.
