PERTH (Reuter): Lone Star Exploration NL said yesterday it has increased the gold resource at the Awak Mas deposit in Indonesia to 1.80 million ounces of gold, at a one gram per ton (g/t) cut off, from 660,000 ounces earlier.
Lone Star managing director Bill Crossley said in a statement that Awak Mas could provide for even higher resource estimates than the revised figures released today.
Following a 23,473 metre drilling program, total resources at a 0.7 g/t cut off, have increased from 829,000 ounces to 2.048 million ounces, Lone Star said.
