Passenger movements at Bandara Internasional Zainuddin Abdul Madjid (Bizam), or Lombok Airport in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), are projected to reach 136,255 people during the 2026 Eid holiday exodus. This figure represents a 4.1 per cent increase compared to the 2025 Eid holiday period.

“The peak outbound traffic is estimated to occur on four days before Eid, Tuesday, 17 March 2026, with projected passenger numbers reaching approximately 9,096 travellers,” stated Bizam General Manager Aidhil Philip Julian on Friday (13 March 2026).

Angkasa Pura also recorded aircraft movements at Lombok Airport reaching 1,454 operations, representing a 28.2 per cent increase. Similarly, cargo services reached 702 tonnes, up 6.4 per cent compared to the previous period.

Aidhil explained that the integrated Eid holiday air transport coordination post at Lombok Airport will operate for 18 days, from 13-30 March 2026. The establishment of this coordination post follows the Directorate General of Civil Aviation’s Directive Number IR-DJPU 01 of 2026 concerning the organisation of Eid holiday air transport services in 2026.

Through this integrated post, he stated, Angkasa Pura is conducting intensive monitoring of airport operations. Angkasa Pura is also strengthening cross-agency coordination to ensure smooth operations during the Eid holiday transport period.

“Meanwhile, the peak return traffic is estimated to occur seven days after Eid, Sunday, 29 March 2026, with projected passenger numbers reaching approximately 9,808 travellers,” added Aidhil.
