PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia’s Lombok International Airport in West Nusa Tenggara has launched the InJourney Airports Community Upskilling for Aviation programme, known as ‘Pojok Budaya’ (Cultural Corner), to support the preservation of local culture. General Manager Aidhil Philip Julian stated that the programme provides funding to assist the development of cultural studios, including the procurement of dance costumes and other necessities. The initiative reflects support for the eighth Asta Cita mission, which focuses on strengthening harmony in life aligned with culture and local wisdom as a foundation for national development. It also aligns with Sustainable Development Goals 4, 8, and 11 by enhancing education quality, empowering the community’s creative economy, and preserving cultural heritage as part of sustainable development. Aidhil emphasised that the programme demonstrates the company’s commitment to preserving regional arts and culture, which are integral to the identity of West Nusa Tenggara’s people. Through this initiative, Lombok Airport aims to create an atmosphere that serves not only as a transportation hub but also as a showcase for regional culture, providing a positive experience for airport users. Ketut Sri Rahayuningsih, head of Sanggar Tari Rahayu, expressed gratitude for the assistance, noting the funds will be used to purchase costumes and support other studio needs, and voiced hope for continued support to ensure the sustainable development of arts studios and regional culture.
