Lombok Airport Adds New Airline Service to Jakarta Route

Lombok Tengah, NTB - PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports) at Lombok International Airport in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) has added a new airline service for the round-trip route between Jakarta (CGK) and Lombok (LOP). “This new airline operates two flights per day, with schedules from CGK to LOP at 05:00 WIB and 15:00 WIB, and from LOP to CGK at 08:30 WITA and 18:15 WITA,” said General Manager of Lombok International Airport, Aidhil Philip, in Lombok Tengah, NTB, on Saturday. He stated that on this route, the new airline operates Airbus A320 aircraft with free 7kg cabin baggage and 20kg checked baggage facilities. He expressed appreciation to the new airline for opening this route, which is seen as a strategic step in strengthening the air transportation network in the West Nusa Tenggara region. “The operation of this direct Lombok-Jakarta route is a joint commitment to improving accessibility and providing more flight schedule options for the public,” he said. His side is optimistic that the presence of this route will have a positive impact on passenger mobility as well as the growth of the tourism and local economy sectors in the NTB region. Furthermore, this increase in flight frequency is also expected to provide convenience for domestic tourists and business travellers in accessing Lombok’s flagship destinations and surroundings. With this route addition, Lombok Airport currently serves direct connectivity to 12 domestic destinations, namely Jakarta (CGK), Surabaya (SUB), Bali (DPS), Yogyakarta (YIA), Bima (BMU), Sumbawa Besar (SWQ), Makassar (UPG), Balikpapan (BPN), Labuan Bajo (LBJ), Waingapu (WGP), Tambolaka (TMC), and Banyuwangi (BWX). “Meanwhile, for international flights, there are two destination routes, namely Kuala Lumpur (KUL) with Batik Air Malaysia (OD), and Singapore,” he said. The inauguration of TransNusa’s inaugural flight was marked by a welcoming ceremony involving flower garlands and gift-giving to passengers arriving on the CGK-LOP route and departing on the LOP-CGK route.
