Logging traces found amid forest and land fires in Batang Hari

Forest and land fires have swept through the Tenam area of Batang Hari Regency, Jambi, entering their second day on Friday (21/8/2026). Manggala Agni personnel from the Muara Bulian post, together with Indonesian Army soldiers, continued efforts to extinguish the blaze, which has burned approximately four hectares. Information on the extent of the fire and the suppression efforts was also confirmed in reports by ANTARA and detikNews. At the site, officers also discovered charred remains of felled timber. The finding emerged as crews worked to bring the flames under control and prevent them from spreading to surrounding areas.
