Loggers fight, one dies

KOTABARU, South Kalimantan: Two local residents of Timur Laut
island fought over a log near Kemasan forest here on Wednesday,
with one of them losing his life.

Andud, 30, was found dead with severe stab wounds after the
clash with Saiful, 25, who remains unconscious at a local
hospital.

The police were forced to tighten security at the hospital as
Andud's family threatened to kill Saiful out of revenge.

According to Usman, Saiful's uncle, his nephew and Andud
clashed following a dispute over possession of a log. Saipul had
accused Andud of stealing his log. -- Antara
