Logawa Train Now Offers Executive Class on Purwokerto–Ketapang Route
KOMPAS.com - The Logawa train service is now equipped with a dedicated executive class for the Purwokerto–Ketapang route (PP) starting 6 March 2026. Previously, the Logawa operated with a formation of eight premium economy carriages. Now, the train’s formation consists of two Executive Class Stainless Steel Generation 1 carriages and six premium economy Stainless Steel carriages, giving passengers more options for service classes according to their travel needs.
“The addition of the executive class service on the Logawa is expected to provide an alternative for passengers seeking greater comfort during the journey,” said Anne Purba, Vice President Corporate Communications at KAI, in an official statement received by Kompas.com on Thursday, 5 March 2026.
The Executive Class Stainless Steel Generation 1 train set has a capacity of 50 seats with a range of premier facilities including revolving seats, reclining seats, fold-out tables, footrests, greater legroom, power outlets, and ergonomic seats designed to provide a more comfortable travel experience.
Meanwhile, the Ketapang–Purwokerto journey departs Ketapang Station at 06:15 WIB and arrives at Purwokerto Station at 20:20 WIB.
“With the introduction of the executive class service, the Logawa journey on the Purwokerto–Ketapang route becomes more flexible as passengers can choose the service class that best matches them, whether executive or premium economy,” said Anne.
In addition to the Purwokerto and Ketapang routes, Logawa serves a range of stations on the southern to eastern corridors of Java, including Kroya, Kebumen, Kutoarjo, Lempuyangan, Klaten, Purwosari, Sragen, Ngawi, Madiun, Nganjuk, Jombang, Mojokerto, Surabaya Gubeng, Sidoarjo, Bangil, Pasuruan, Probolinggo, and Jember.
