Logawa Train Adds Executive Class, Making Banyuwangi-Purwokerto Journey More Comfortable

BANYUWANGI - The journey on the Logawa train route from Ketapang, Banyuwangi to Purwokerto is now even more comfortable. PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daerah Operasi 9 Jember is adding an executive train set to the KA Logawa. Starting from the departure on Tuesday (28/4/2026), the train composition is being adjusted back to three stainless steel executive carriages and five stainless steel premium economy carriages. “This transformation adjustment is our response to the continuously increasing enthusiasm of customers towards the KA Logawa service, especially in the executive class,” said Cahyo on Monday (27/4/2026). They hope that this capacity addition can further enhance the quality of the journey while providing a more comfortable experience for the public using trains as their preferred mode of transportation. According to him, the presence of the executive class on KA Logawa gives new options for customers who want to enjoy long-distance travel with more comfortable facilities, from ergonomic seats to a quieter cabin atmosphere. The public’s enthusiasm for the executive class service changes is also reflected in the occupancy rates. KA Logawa has long been one of the preferred modes for residents in the Daop 9 Jember region, serving passengers from Banyuwangi, Jember, to Probolinggo heading to several cities in Central Java such as Solo, Yogyakarta, to Purwokerto. The addition of executive carriages is expected to provide more choices for passengers, especially tourists and those on long-distance trips who prioritise comfort while traversing the southern and eastern Java route.
