Locations of the Ministry of Transport's 2026 Free Mudik Validation Posts in Jabodetabek
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The registration for the Free Mudik Lebaran 2026 programme from the Ministry of Transport has been open since 1 March 2026. However, prospective participants cannot simply register online. There is a crucial step that must be completed, namely verification or re-registration at designated posts.
The Directorate General of Land Transportation has prepared 401 buses with a total capacity of 15,834 passengers for the Mudik and return flow this year.
Director General of Land Transportation Aan Suhanan said that registration is carried out online via nusantara.kemenhub.go.id and will close when quotas are exhausted.
If the daily quota is exhausted, the system automatically closes access to registration. Therefore, the public is urged to register quickly and proceed with the validation process to avoid missing the opportunity.
After successfully obtaining an e-ticket or booking code, participants must perform re-registration or validation within a maximum of three days (H+3) after the registration date.
If verification is not completed within that time, the registration data will be voided and the participant’s National Identity Number (NIK) will be automatically blocked by the system.
The Validation Posts are open every day from 1–15 March 2026, 08:00–16:00 WIB. The posts will also close earlier if the free Mudik quota has been exhausted.
Here are the locations of the Validation Posts:
Ministry of Transport Office, Jakarta
Bulungan Sports Hall, Blok M, Jakarta
Poris Plawad Terminal, Tangerang
Pondok Cabe Terminal, South Tangerang
Jatijajar Terminal, Depok
Kayuringin Terminal, Bekasi
Participants are required to bring original identity documents such as an ID card (KTP), Driving Licence (SIM), or Family Card (Kartu Keluarga) when performing validation to ensure data matches the system.
Terms and Conditions
Registration for the Ministry of Transport’s 2026 Free Mudik, opened since 1 March 2026, is online only. One account can register up to three additional participants (total four including the registrant) and one motorcycle unit.
Each participant can only choose one destination city. If returning, registration is done at the same time as the Mudik registration, as long as the destination city is available for the return service.
The programme serves 34 cities in Sumatra, West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta, and East Java with departures scheduled for 16–18 March 2026.
Some Mudik destinations include Palembang, Padang, Medan, Garut, Cirebon, Semarang, Solo, Yogyakarta, Purwokerto, Surabaya, Malang, and Tulungagung.
In addition to passenger transport, the government also provides motorcycle transport facilities with a capacity of 240 units for the Purwokerto, Solo, Yogyakarta, and Wonogiri routes.
With quotas limited and a system that will automatically close when full, prospective participants are urged not only to register promptly but also to ensure the verification process is completed on time to avoid losing travel rights.
