Location of SMPN 26 Bandung Student's Murder at Former Kampung Gajah Site

A student of SMP Negeri 26 Bandung, identified by the initials ZAAQ, was found brutally killed at the hands of his own friends, YA (16) and AP (17), with stab wounds to the abdomen and lacerations to the head. The body of the 14-year-old was discovered at the former Kampung Gajah site in Cihideung Village, Parongpong District, West Bandung Regency.

ZAAQ was killed by his two friends on the grounds of the former Kampung Gajah on Monday (9/2/2026). However, his body was only discovered on Friday (13/2) by a TikTok content creator who was filming at the location.

detikJabar visited the crime scene and the location where ZAAQ’s body was found on Monday (16/2). Police tape cordoned off the derelict area of the former tourist attraction where the body was discovered.

Wooden posts had also been erected as a makeshift fence. Beneath them, flowers were scattered which, according to a security officer at the former Kampung Gajah, had been laid by the victim’s family on Sunday (15/2).

The distance from the spot where ZAAQ was killed to the road commonly used by people accessing the area was only approximately 100 metres. However, the view was obscured by dense wild vegetation. Nevertheless, adjacent to the crime scene there was a fishing pond, though according to its operators, it was closed at the time.

ZAAQ was killed at approximately 5:00 PM local time. By that hour, the former Kampung Gajah was already deserted. No one suspected that in the area near the miniature train ride lay the body of a junior high school student murdered by his friends.
