Local student found dead

PALANGKA RAYA, Central Kalimantan: Kereng Bangkerai villagers in Sebangau district, Central Kalimantan, were shocked upon learning that a 15-year-old middle school student was found dead on Tuesday.

The a student was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her home in Palangka Raya.

Police are investigating the case to determine an extenuating cause of death.

The student is survived by her mother and stepfather, who is unemployed. The mother had four children from her second marriage, and the dead student is said to have been in charge of their care. -- Antara
