Local Retail Chain Develops Three Outlets in Special Region of Yogyakarta, Opens Partnership Opportunities
Strengthening local retail continues to develop as public demand for convenient and accessible shopping increases. This is evident in the network expansion of Toko Terobosan Baru (New Breakthrough Store) in the Special Region of Yogyakarta and surrounding areas.
The network currently operates three outlets: Toko Terobosan Baru Condong Catur, Toko Terobosan Baru Palagan, and Toko Terobosan Baru Bawen. All three outlets provide various household necessities, daily supplies, and light building materials.
In addition to selecting easily accessible locations, Toko Terobosan Baru operates extended business hours. All outlets are open from 07:00 to 21:00 and operate on Sundays and national holidays, providing shopping flexibility especially for urban residents and surrounding areas with high mobility.
Store Manager Suparmin stated that retail network expansion aims not only to broaden public shopping access but also to generate economic impact for surrounding communities. “Network expansion is intended to meet community needs whilst also strengthening the local economy through employment absorption and business cooperation opportunities,” Suparmin said in a press statement on Monday (16 March 2026).
He added that the company is opening partnership opportunities for business operators through consignment and investment schemes. “The company is opening partnership opportunities in the form of consignment or investment. This approach demonstrates that local retail network growth can involve multiple stakeholders, whether as consumers, employees, or business development partners,” he explained.
Going forward, the company plans to strengthen operational systems whilst increasing the number of branches. This expansion aims to extend retail service coverage connected with local economic activities.
