Local painter found dead

SEMARANG: Imam Santoso, a local painter and organizer of
several painting exhibitions, was found dead with his neck gored
on Thursday, Antara reported.

Police said the knife used to kill him was in his hand,
suggesting that he may have committed suicide. Police however
have not ruled out foul play.

For one, there was no suicide note found in the empty house
where he was killed, they said.

Imam had launched an autodidact painting exhibition the
previous night at the Raden Saleh Cultural Center on Jl.
Surabaya. Imam was a member of the Semarang Autodidact Painters.
