Domestic manufactured products are once again demonstrating their competitiveness in the global market. PT Surya Kencana Makmur Jaya (PT SKM) has successfully realised the export of glove products to Osaka, Japan, on Monday (16/3/2025).

This shipment serves as one of the proofs that national industrial products can meet high-quality standards and compete in the international market.

The Head of the Yogyakarta Customs Office, Imam Sarjono, revealed that PT SKM operates by utilising the bonded zone scheme, which provides various facilities for export-oriented companies.

Through this scheme, the company receives facilities in the form of suspension of import duties as well as non-imposition of value-added tax (VAT), luxury goods sales tax (PPnBM), and income tax (PPh) Article 22 on imports of raw materials and auxiliary materials used in the glove production process.

“These facilities help increase production cost efficiency so that the resulting products can have stronger competitiveness in the global market,” said Imam in a statement on Thursday (26/3/2026).

This support is part of the government’s efforts to encourage the growth of export-oriented industries and strengthen Indonesia’s position in the global supply chain.

In addition to contributing to the increase in state foreign exchange, this export activity also has a positive impact on the national economy through job creation and strengthening the domestic industrial sector.

PT SKM’s success is hoped to serve as inspiration for other business actors to continue developing quality products and expanding markets to the international level.

“With more and more business actors succeeding in penetrating the global market, it is hoped that Indonesia’s flagship products can become more widely known and contribute to strengthening national export performance,” Imam concluded.
