Local brand Mills targets competitive runners with its latest product
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Local footwear brand Mills is targeting competitive runners in Indonesia with its latest product, the Hypercharged R26, which will be officially launched at the DigiLand Run 2026 on Sunday (17/05).
“This shoe is specifically made for advanced runners who want to improve their performance. There are a total of around 27 pacers wearing Mills products, and six of them are using the Hypercharged R26,” said Mills’ Marketing and Corporate Communications Manager, Arhan Ilham, quoted from an official statement on Friday.
With its latest shoe product, which is specially designed for runners who want to achieve personal bests in competitions, Mills aims to compete with global brands.
Mills calls the Hypercharged R26 one of the lightest running shoes from a local Indonesian brand that can compete with foreign products.
Arhan said that the latest product from the local brand has undergone various tests at national events and the World Marathon Major Boston.
One of Mills’ runners, Vivi, even succeeded in recording a personal best with a finishing time of three hours and 38 minutes, or 12 minutes faster than her initial target.
Arhan explained that the development of this shoe is specifically aimed at advanced runners because it is intended for runners who are pursuing performance, although beginner runners can also use it, but it is not specifically designed for casual running.
“This shoe is not made for casual running. Its characteristics are only fully felt when used at fast paces, such as paces of 5, 4, or even 3. This shoe is specifically made for races and speed training. The focus is to help runners record their best times,” said Arhan.
