When will the authorities give primary school teachers working
in remote places long-term soft loans? I have applied for credit
from a bank for a 10-year period with an annual interest of 1
percent. But the district office boss did not approve my
application. He only wanted to sign the application if the loan
installments could be completed in 48 months.

How could I possibly take such a short-term loan with my small
salary? Besides, the appointed bank only provides a Rp 4 million
loan. Why can't the bank give long-term loans over a ten-year or
15-year period, like the people's housing credit system does? I
hope they can provide special services for elementary teachers by
allowing a loan of between Rp 10 million to 15 million for 10 or
15 years.
