Lo Kheng Hong Sells SIMP Shares Worth Rp 7.5 Billion Amid Price Pressure, Here's the Signal

Jakarta - Veteran investor Lo Kheng Hong has executed a sale of 8.18 million shares in PT Salim Ivomas Pratama Tbk (SIMP), the palm oil and CPO plantation company owned by Anthoni Salim. Based on a disclosure from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) reported on Saturday (25/4/2026), Lo Kheng Hong offloaded 8,189,500 SIMP shares in two transactions on 14 April 2026. In detail, 1,377,000 shares were sold at Rp 925 per share, while the remaining 6,812,500 shares were released at Rp 920 per share. From this action, the investor often dubbed Indonesia’s Warren Buffett is estimated to have garnered fresh funds of around Rp 7.54 billion. “The type of transaction is a sale and the purpose is to realise profits,” stated the BEI disclosure. Following the transaction, Lo Kheng Hong’s ownership in SIMP shares decreased from 779.20 million shares, equivalent to 5.03 percent, to 771.01 million shares, or about 4.97 percent. The share price opened at Rp 860 but immediately faced fairly aggressive selling pressure at the start of the session, leading to a sharp decline. Throughout the trading day, SIMP shares moved fluctuatively with a tendency to weaken. After briefly attempting a rebound to the Rp 830-Rp 835 range, pressure re-emerged, causing the price to move sideways in the lower area. At the close, SIMP shares were at Rp 815, down 45 points or 5.23 percent in a single day. The largest shareholder is Indofood Agri Resources Ltd., with ownership of 11.39 billion shares or equivalent to 73.46 percent. In second place, PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk holds 1.04 billion shares or about 6.68 percent. Individual investor Lo Kheng Hong is recorded as a significant shareholder with 771 million shares or 4.97 percent.
