LMPV Sales Report for April 2026: Aletra and Kia Among the Best Sellers

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The low multi-purpose vehicle (LMPV) market has rebounded in April 2026 after experiencing a slowdown during the Lebaran period.

Several family models recorded significant increases in distribution as vehicle delivery activities from manufacturers to dealers returned to normal.

Data from the Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (Gaikindo) shows that total LMPV wholesale sales in April 2026 reached 11,752 units. This figure represents a 49.9 per cent increase compared to March 2026, which recorded 7,838 units.

Toyota Veloz HEV achieved sales of 3,262 units. This also demonstrates the positive trend of hybrid vehicles in the MPV segment, which continues to attract consumer attention.

Meanwhile, BYD M6 is one of the models with aggressive growth. The electric MPV from China recorded wholesale sales of 2,472 units, a significant increase compared to March 2026, which was at 976 units.

Mitsubishi Xpander was in next position with distribution of 1,224 units. Hyundai Stargazer also recorded an increase to 615 units, while Daihatsu Xenia booked 452 units.
