LLDikti Kemdiktisaintek Strengthens Quality of Higher Education
Bekasi - The Higher Education Service Agency (LLDikti) Region III of the Republic of Indonesia’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology is committed to continuously strengthening the quality of higher education through various efforts to build an outstanding academic ecosystem that is competitive and sustainable.
This was stated by the Head of LLDikti Region III, Henri Tambunan, during a media gathering at the Institut Komunikasi dan Bisnis LSPR Bekasi Campus on Wednesday (22/4), aimed at strengthening public information openness while building constructive communication between institutions and the mass media.
He explained that in the facilitation area of his operations, namely DKI Jakarta, there are currently 245 private higher education institutions under the guidance of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek). From this number, there are 2,029 study programmes with 25,164 lecturers and 644,535 students.
One of the efforts to improve the quality of higher education is reflected in the increase in the number of university collaborations over the last three years, namely MoUs increasing by 34 per cent, MoAs by 50 per cent, and IAs surging by up to 149 per cent.
LLDikti Region III is also actively carrying out collaborations with various domestic and international partners that can support improvements in the quality of higher education in the DKI Jakarta Province area.
Some of these include the formation of the Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) as a forum for directing collaboration between universities and industry, in collaboration with the Indonesian Employers’ Association (Apindo) and the National Competent Indonesia Movement (GNIK).
Henri continued that in the field of community service, LLDikti Region III held the Smart Village Community Service Programme (PKM) in Cianjur, West Java, followed by the Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKN) “Merajut Nusantara” in Ngada Regency, East Nusa Tenggara.
Throughout 2021-2026, it also recorded significant achievements with the emergence of 632 professors from higher education institutions in its area of guidance. Of these, 15 professors have been inaugurated in the January-April 2026 period.
It also organises various mentoring and technical guidance programmes to encourage the advancement of academic lecturers’ careers as a systematic effort to strengthen the quality of human resources in higher education.
In line with these efforts, LLDikti Region III also ensures support for lecturers’ welfare through the realisation of various forms of allowances, including the realisation of lecturer certification allowances amounting to Rp31.79 billion for civil servant lecturers and Rp425.9 billion for non-civil servant lecturers.
“All these programmes have contributed to a positive impact on the growth of accredited higher education institutions in DKI Jakarta over the past five years, where at the beginning of 2026, there are 178 private higher education institutions that are accredited and 33 higher education institutions have superior status,” he said.
The Head of General Affairs of LLDikti Region III, Tri Munanto, continued that this commitment is also in line with the direction of policies and the spirit of Impactful Diktisaintek, where every effort to strengthen governance, information transparency, and collaboration is not only oriented towards administrative achievements.
“But also towards the real contribution of higher education to society. Thus, the role of LLDikti Region III continues to be encouraged to present higher education that is adaptive, relevant, and provides direct impact on nation-building,” he said.
