LKPP: Consolidation strengthens procurement to support national programmes
Jakarta (ANTARA) – The National Public Procurement Agency (LKPP) believes that stronger consolidation with government agencies will encourage the procurement of quality goods and services to support national programmes.
“This is the essence of next-level consolidation. We are not merely combining packages or chasing the lowest prices; rather, we are building a smarter spending strategy through smart procurement, which promotes procurement decisions based on needs, market information and the outcomes to be achieved,” LKPP Head Sarah Sadiqa said in Jakarta on Thursday.
“Our focus is not only on ownership of goods, but also on the sustainability of their function and the quality of the services they provide,” she added.
To bring about this change, the LKPP is pursuing three complementary agendas: consolidation to establish the right spending strategy; master product data in the e-catalogue to ensure accurate standards and product information; and Version 5 of the Electronic Procurement System (SPSE) as a reliable means of implementation.
“All three have the same aim: better quality and faster programme delivery,” Sarah said.
She added that the LKPP was also strengthening its shared commitment to carrying out the procurement process.
The Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) and the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi) will serve as pilot agencies for accelerating goods and services procurement in the 2027 fiscal year.
“The LKPP has received full support from the Minister of PKP. There are many of his programmes that, hopefully, the LKPP can help with. As the minister said earlier, we will work together to ensure that decent housing for the public can be delivered as soon as possible,” Sarah said.
She added that one of the government’s largest areas of spending was internet service providers (ISPs), licences and related items, which were currently being procured separately by individual agencies.
“Today, we will formulate a strategy to consolidate this procurement and achieve even greater efficiencies,” Sarah said.
She added that Telkom was supporting the development of systems that the company and the LKPP had been working on together.
