LKPJ 2025 Meets Regulatory Standards, Governor Khofifah Commits to Strengthening Transparent and Accountable Governance in East Java

Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa has conveyed her appreciation for the Special Committee’s (Pansus) opinion from the East Java Provincial Legislative Council (DPRD) regarding the Governor’s Accountability Report (LKPJ) for the End of the 2025 Fiscal Year.

Khofifah delivered this appreciation after attending the Plenary Session of the East Java DPRD, which featured the presentation of the Pansus’s opinion on the LKPJ for the 2025 Fiscal Year, at the East Java Provincial DPRD Building in Surabaya on Monday (6/4).

According to the Pansus’s opinion, the East Java Governor’s LKPJ for the 2025 Fiscal Year is deemed feasible and meets the minimum standards set by applicable laws and regulations, allowing it to proceed with discussions in accordance with established procedures.

In response, Governor Khofifah expressed thanks for the hard work of the East Java DPRD, particularly the Pansus team, in conducting a comprehensive and constructive review.

“Alhamdulillah, we extend our thanks and appreciation for the East Java DPRD Pansus’s opinion stating that the LKPJ is worthy of further discussion,” Khofifah stated on Monday (6/4).

Khofifah emphasised that the LKPJ discussion process is a vital component in strengthening transparent, accountable, and responsive government governance. She added that the various notes and recommendations from the DPRD will serve as strategic evaluation material for the East Java Provincial Government in enhancing development performance.

“All DPRD recommendations will be followed up as a means of synergy to strengthen the quality of development and public services in East Java,” she asserted.

Furthermore, Khofifah assured that the East Java Provincial Government is committed to continuously improving the performance of government administration while ensuring that every development programme delivers real benefits to the community.

For information, the Plenary Session is part of the constitutional mechanism for DPRD oversight of regional head performance in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

The East Java Provincial Government will subsequently follow the next discussion stages and sustainably address the DPRD’s recommendations.
