LKPI Survey: Public Satisfaction with Prabowo Reaches 79.3 Percent
Jakarta (ANTARA) - A survey by the Indonesian Electoral Study Institute (LKPI) shows that public satisfaction with President Prabowo Subianto’s performance in the first half of 2026 has reached 79.3 per cent.
LKPI assessed that this achievement was driven by the public’s positive perception of the government’s efforts to eradicate corruption, strengthen the agricultural sector and farmers’ welfare, maintain price stability for basic necessities, and implement various social programmes.
According to the survey, released in a statement in Jakarta on Monday, 13.5 per cent of respondents said they were dissatisfied with the President’s performance, whilst 7.2 per cent gave no answer.
LKPI Executive Director Novriansyah said the majority of the public still viewed the government’s policy direction as having a positive impact on various strategic sectors.
“Based on our survey results, the public assesses that various government policies during the first half of 2026 have had a positive impact. The commitment to eradicating corruption, attention to the agricultural sector and farmers’ welfare, success in maintaining price stability for basic necessities, and various government social programmes are the main factors shaping the level of public satisfaction,” said Novriansyah.
LKPI recorded that satisfaction with the government’s efforts to eradicate corruption reached 83.2 per cent, whilst 78.4 per cent of respondents expressed satisfaction with the government’s policies on improving agricultural governance and enhancing farmers’ welfare.
Meanwhile, the government’s ability to maintain price stability for basic necessities received the highest satisfaction rating, at 85.8 per cent.
The survey also measured public perceptions of several national conditions. Some 40.8 per cent of respondents rated the national security situation as good or very good, whilst 36.5 per cent considered it average.
On the aspect of law enforcement, 31.8 per cent of respondents gave a rating of good or very good. Meanwhile, 69.9 per cent of respondents assessed the general state of corruption eradication as good or very good.
In addition, the President’s attention to the difficulties faced by the public received a satisfaction rating of 76.8 per cent. The government’s social programmes received a satisfaction rating of 82.1 per cent, whilst efforts to safeguard national unity and political stability achieved a satisfaction rating of 80.2 per cent.
Assurance of the availability of basic necessities also obtained a satisfaction rating of 84.7 per cent. On the other hand, 60.2 per cent of respondents judged that the government had succeeded in reducing poverty and unemployment rates.
LKPI considered that the survey results show public appreciation for the government’s various priority programmes, although the public still hopes for strengthened reforms in law enforcement, corruption eradication, accelerated poverty reduction, and job creation.
The survey was conducted from 18 to 28 July 2026 involving 1,557 respondents across Indonesia using a multistage random sampling method, with a 95 per cent confidence level and a margin of error of approximately ±2.47 per cent. Data collection was carried out through face-to-face interviews supplemented by digital verification.
