Efforts to improve the quality and skills of the workforce are not only carried out by the government through Job Training Centres. A number of course and training institutions are also active in producing skilled and trained workers.

In Greater Bandung, one such institution is the Nuning Course and Training Institute (LKP). Most recently, this institution has again produced new entrepreneurs in the field of bridal makeup through the 2026 Entrepreneurial Skills Education (PKW) programme.

In addition to receiving training, participants are also provided with business start-up equipment so that they can develop their businesses independently.

The head of LKP Nuning, Nisma Nurul, said that the closing of the PKW programme in bridal makeup was held on 20 August 2026. The programme is the result of cooperation between LKP Nuning and the Directorate of Courses and Training, Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen).

The closing event was attended by the Secretary of the Cimahi City Education Office, Reni Herawati, as well as a number of industry partners involved in the implementation of the 2026 PKW programme.

In its implementation, LKP Nuning collaborated with a number of partners. These included Inez Cosmetics in the cosmetics industry, Sign ID Production in digital marketing, Bank BJB in capital provision, as well as HIPMI Cimahi City and Gekrafs West Java in entrepreneurship development.

After undergoing 350 hours of training and passing technical and entrepreneurship evaluations, 20 students domiciled in Cimahi City and its surroundings were declared graduates and received certificates of completion.

“In addition to receiving training, the participants also received business start-up stimulus goods distributed individually. Each participant received bridal attire, cosmetics, beauty tools, and business marketing support equipment,” said Nisma.

According to her, after completing the programme, graduates continue to receive mentoring from LKP Nuning for one year or until they are able to become independent as professional makeup artists.

Mentoring is carried out through monitoring of business development. Graduates are required to submit monthly business start-up progress reports to LKP Nuning.

“This data will become one of the indicators of the success of this PKW programme, as with the success of programmes in previous years,” she said.

In addition to business monitoring, LKP Nuning also provides graduates with the opportunity to gain direct work experience as a makeup team (team art) at various events through the cooperation network owned by LKP Nuning.

“They will always be accompanied until they can succeed independently,” concluded Nisma.
