Live Streaming Serves as a Form of Accountability in Qurban Rituals

BSI Maslahat has once again launched the Qurban Maslahat 1447 H programme under the theme “Golden Steps Caring for the Nation”. Through this programme, BSI Maslahat invites the public to interpret the Qurban ritual not only as an act of obedience to Allah SWT but also as a means to generate sustainable social, economic, and environmental benefits.

The Qurban Maslahat programme is designed to reach communities with limited access to sacrificial meat, including underdeveloped, frontier, and remote (3T) regions, the underprivileged, Islamic boarding schools, BSI-supported mosques, educational institutions, and disaster-affected areas.

For 1447 H, the BSI Maslahat and BSI Qurban programmes successfully collected the equivalent of 27,902 sheep/goats, benefiting over 279,000 recipients. Distribution took place across 39 points spread over 12 provinces and 31 regencies/cities in Indonesia, and also reached Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, Jordan, and Syria.

To demonstrate a commitment to transparency and accountability in managing the trust of donors (mudhohi), BSI Maslahat has reintroduced the Qurban 1447 H Live Streaming service via the official BSI Maslahat YouTube channel. Through this service, donors can witness the slaughtering process of the sacrificial animals entrusted to BSI Maslahat directly. The live broadcasts are conducted over the three days of the Qurban period from various slaughtering sites in Indonesia and Palestine.

Nasrudin, Director of Sales & Distribution at BSI Maslahat, stated that the live streaming service is part of the effort to maintain public trust in Qurban management. “As a form of commitment to transparency and accountability, BSI Maslahat provides the opportunity for donors to witness the slaughtering process of sacrificial animals directly through live streaming. We thank all donors who have entrusted their Qurban worship to BSI Maslahat,” he said.

One donor, Euis Atilah, expressed how the service was helpful. “I watched the live streaming of my sacrificial animal slaughtering. Thank you for the assistance; may Allah reward everyone’s kindness,” she remarked. Similarly, Eka Meifrina expressed appreciation for the execution of the BSI Maslahat Qurban programme, stating, “Alhamdulillah, thank you BSI Maslahat for the Qurban programme and its trustworthy implementation.”
