Live Streaming of Independence Day Ceremony at Merdeka Palace, Watch Here

The Independence Day ceremony commemorating the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia’s Independence is being held at Merdeka Palace on Monday (17/8). The ceremony can be watched via live streaming on CNN Indonesia’s YouTube channel.

The 81st Indonesian Independence Day ceremony is being held on Monday (17/8). The Red and White flag-raising ceremony is scheduled to take place at approximately 07:30 WIB.

The event will be followed by the Commemoration of the Seconds of the Proclamation of Indonesian Independence, scheduled for 10:00 WIB.

Meanwhile, the lowering of the Red and White flag is planned for 17:00 WIB.

Members of the public arrived wearing traditional attire from various regions. Some also wore formal clothing with red and white ornaments.

Members of the public entering the Merdeka Palace grounds immediately received gift packages containing various souvenirs for the 81st Indonesian Independence Day.

The souvenirs included caps, towels, mugs, a book titled ‘President Solusi’, umbrellas, and traditional toys such as rubber bands and marbles. Attendees also received light snacks.
