Live-Commerce Becomes New Opportunity, UNM Prepares Students to Master Digital Economy
Universitas Nusa Mandiri (UNM), as a Digital Business Campus, continues to strengthen its synergy with the business and industrial world (DUDI) to increase the competitiveness of students and graduates in the digital economy era. This commitment was demonstrated through active participation in the Socialisation of Higher Education Cooperation Exhibition with DUDI and the Live-Commerce Training Initiative, organised by LLDIKTI Region III at Tarumanagara University, West Jakarta, on Wednesday (3/6/2026).
The event, attended by university representatives from Jakarta and surrounding areas, served as a forum to strengthen collaboration between higher education and industry in preparing human resources that are adaptive to technological developments and labour market needs.
At the event, UNM was represented by Muhammad Faisal and Panggah Muanif S. Both received various information regarding cooperation opportunities between higher education and industry, including student competency development programmes aligned with current workforce requirements.
One of the main agendas socialised was the plan for the Higher Education Cooperation Exhibition with DUDI, which aims to bring universities together with various industrial partners to build sustainable collaboration in education, internships, recruitment, and competency development.
Additionally, participants were introduced to the Live-Commerce training programme, an initiative designed to enhance the digital skills of the younger generation, ranging from content creation, personal branding, and digital marketing to the utilisation of digital platforms for business and marketing activities.
As a Digital Business Campus, UNM considers the programme highly relevant to industry needs, which are currently moving towards a digital-based business ecosystem and the creative economy.
Panggah Muanif S, as UNM’s Public Relations officer, stated that current industrial developments require university graduates to possess competencies that are not only academically strong but also capable of adapting to rapidly evolving digital business trends.
“The Live-Commerce programme represents an excellent opportunity for students to develop the digital skills currently demanded by industry. Beyond learning digital marketing, students can also hone their communication skills, build personal branding, create creative content, and understand digital business strategies more comprehensively,” said Panggah in a release on Monday (22/6/2026).
According to him, UNM’s presence in the activity is part of the university’s efforts to continuously expand strategic partnership networks while providing wider access for students to various competency development programmes.
“As a Digital Business Campus, UNM continuously strives to provide learning experiences relevant to industry needs. Collaborations such as this are an important step in ensuring students are well-equipped to face the challenges of the evolving world of work and the digital economy,” he said.
The results of the activity will be followed up through internal coordination with relevant units to identify programme implementation opportunities within the campus environment. UNM will also explore further cooperation opportunities with industrial partners involved in the programme, covering education, research, community service, internships, and competency certification.
“Through active participation in various initiatives initiated by LLDIKTI Region III, Universitas Nusa Mandiri reaffirms its commitment as a Digital Business Campus that continues to deliver educational innovation based on industry needs. This step aligns with the spirit of ‘Turning Dreams into Achievements’ in producing superior, adaptive graduates ready to compete at both national and global levels,” said Panggah.
