LiuGong Launches F Series Excavators, Relevant to Operational Needs
The warm atmosphere at the Regale Convention Center in Medan on Wednesday (22/4/2026) turned into a customer meet-and-greet and a platform for LiuGong to showcase its latest innovations in the heavy equipment sector as LiuGong Indonesia proudly introduced its new F-Series excavator line.
LiuGong presented several flagship models at the event, ranging from 906F, 908F, 912F, 915F, 920F, 922F, to 923F. Visitors could also view other products, such as the 838TE wheel loader, solar light tower, and compressor, which complement the company’s heavy equipment solutions.
Chief Operating Officer of LiuGong Machinery Indonesia, Daniel Prayoga, emphasised that such gatherings are more than just business agendas.
“This is not just about products, but about building long-term relationships with partners. Medan and Sumatra are highly strategic markets for us,” Daniel stated.
LiuGong, he added, aims to grow alongside customers through a combination of quality products, responsive after-sales service, and flexible financing support.
“The success of our customers is our success as well,” he affirmed firmly.
Designed for Field Needs
At the event, Head of Mining Business for LiuGong Indonesia, Wahyudi Ari Nugraha, described the F-Series as designed with a more practical approach relevant to on-site operational needs.
“The F-Series combines technology, efficiency, operator comfort, and durability in one package,” Wahyudi explained.
These excavators, he continued, are equipped with various modern features such as smart work and smart operation, web-based monitoring systems, and safety features like anti-collision and electronic fence.
In terms of performance, the intelligent control system 2.0 allows operators to adjust work modes more precisely, from movement priorities to attachment usage. As a result, productivity increases by up to 15%, while fuel consumption can be reduced by up to 16%.
“This efficiency directly impacts operational costs,” he said confidently.
The F-Series also supports biodiesel use and has maintenance intervals of up to 500 hours, meaning lower downtime and more efficient operations.
Diverse and 65 Years of Experience
The F-Series offers a wide range of options to meet various industry needs. For confined areas, mini excavators like the 9017FZTS can manoeuvre agilely, while versatile 20-tonne class models such as the 920F and 922F are available. For heavy-duty requirements, units up to 50 tonnes and above are designed specifically for the mining sector.
LiuGong also offers a line of electric excavators in various classes as part of its commitment to more environmentally friendly heavy equipment.
Globally, LiuGong has over 65 years of experience, supported by dozens of production facilities and research centres. In Indonesia, the company’s investments have exceeded US$200 million since 2006. Its growth has been significant, from around 150 units in 2018 to over 3,000 units in 2025.
To strengthen services, LiuGong has introduced LiuGong Finance Indonesia as an official financing solution licensed by OJK. Additionally, the company is preparing to build a local manufacturing facility in Karawang, West Java.
