LiuGong Introduces Latest F-Series Excavators for the Mining Industry

PT LiuGong Machinery Indonesia has recently introduced its latest F-Series excavator range to customers, dealers, and financing partners in Makassar, South Sulawesi.

During the event held on Thursday, 17 September 2026, LiuGong presented the 906F and 908F in the compact class, the 920F and 922F in the 20-ton class, and the 933E and 938EHD in the 30-ton class. LiuGong also showcased the DG22 generator set as well as two lighting options, the Solar Light Tower SLT400 and the Diesel Light Tower DLT2000, as part of the supporting operational solutions for mining areas.

The product range demonstrates LiuGong’s commitment to providing solutions for various application needs in the workspace, ranging from support tasks to high-productivity mining activities.

“Sulawesi plays a vital role in the Indonesian mining industry, and we see the needs of customers in this region continuing to evolve. Through this activity, we want to be closer to our customers, understand their challenges directly, and introduce solutions that can support their productivity and operational efficiency,” stated Sahdan Fikri, Director of Aftersales at PT LiuGong Machinery Indonesia, in an official statement.

LiuGong has over three decades of experience in developing excavators. The company began its excavator development journey in 1992 and has continued to innovate alongside technological advancements and industrial needs, eventually leading to the birth of the F-Series.

Technological development in the F-Series focuses on increasing productivity while enhancing operational efficiency. The latest technology in this series is capable of increasing productivity by up to 15 per cent and reducing fuel consumption by up to 16 per cent. With a diverse range of models and configurations, LiuGong provides flexibility for customers to choose work units based on site characteristics, job types, production targets, and operational requirements.

“We developed the F-Series by listening to customer needs. In the mining sector, customers require equipment that is not only powerful but also capable of providing consistent productivity and good efficiency throughout the work cycle. The F-Series meets those needs through a combination of performance, control, and operator comfort,” said Sahdan Fikri.

This 30-year period of innovation has earned customer trust. During the event in Makassar, LiuGong held a handover ceremony for heavy equipment units to several customers who have entrusted their heavy equipment needs to LiuGong.

As part of the commitment to providing total solutions for customers in Indonesia, LiuGong also reintroduced financing services from LiuGong Finance Indonesia. The presence of LiuGong Finance Indonesia is part of an effort to provide more accessible financing and support business players in the Sulawesi region.

Additionally, the event served as the inauguration of the partnership between LiuGung Indonesia University and Politeknik Negeri Ujung Pandang. Both parties are committed to developing local talent in accordance with industrial needs at both national and international levels. Furthermore, LiuGong Indonesia is developing the LiuGong Customer Experience Centre at Politeknik Negeri Ujung Pandang. This facility will serve as a training centre for students to familiarise themselves with heavy equipment technology and industry through both theoretical and practical training.
