Little Aresha Case Trial: Parents Describe Child's Fear of Water

The follow-up trial for the Little Aresha Daycare violence case resumed with the examination of witnesses by the public prosecutor. Nine witnesses, all parents of the victims, were presented in this session to testify about the trauma experienced by their children.

During the proceedings, prosecutors questioned the behaviour of the children after being left at Little Aresha Daycare. One witness, identified by the initials WM, recounted how their child has developed a trauma-related fear of water that persists to this day.

“When it is time to wash their hair, they refuse; anything related to water or bathing causes more fuss than before they were enrolled at Little Aresha,” WM explained during the trial.

“It is evident at their new daycare, where other children of the same age enjoy playing with water, but my child is very afraid, even recoiling in fear,” the witness added.

In addition to the psychological trauma, parents also revealed physical injuries sustained by the victims while under the care of Little Aresha.

One witness, identified by the initials HK, recounted an incident where they picked up their child from the daycare. Upon arriving home, they discovered blood coming from the child’s ear. HK immediately confronted the daycare regarding the injury.

“There were no visible scratch marks, yet there was a significant amount of blood at that time, though it was not flowing heavily,” HK stated.
