Litterers face pay cut

KENDARI, Southeast Sulawesi: Governor La Ode Kaimuddin has warned that he will cut the salary of any of his employees found littering, particularly in the disposal of cigarette butts.

The warning came as he intensified the national discipline campaign in his province, starting with his own office.

Kaimuddin said that government employees should set an example to the rest of the people. They should not be careless and sloppy, he said as reported by Antara.

He added that he also plans to ban smoking in all the province's administration offices. (05)
