Jakarta (ANTARA) – Presidential Chief of Staff (KSP) Listyo Sigit Prabowo said he had received specific instructions from President Prabowo Subianto concerning the oversight and coordination of national priority programmes and several strategic issues.

“As KSP, of course, we have received specific instructions from the President regarding the duties carried out by the office,” Listyo Sigit said after meeting President Prabowo at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Monday.

He explained that the instructions primarily concerned oversight and coordination of national priority programmes, as well as addressing several strategic issues.

“Especially in relation to oversight and coordination of national priority programmes, and, of course, several strategic issues,” he said.

Earlier, Sigit said he was ready to continue his work at the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) to help deliver President Prabowo Subianto’s priority programmes.

“We know there are always problems that can disrupt the President’s programmes, and we can resolve them,” Sigit said at a handover ceremony at the KSP building in Jakarta on Monday (5 October).

He also called on KSP staff to work together in carrying out their duties in support of various government programmes.

These include initiatives set out in Astacita and its follow-up measures: the President’s 17 priority programmes, which cover several sectors, including food, energy and improving the quality of human resources.

He praised the work of Dudung Abdurachman, who now serves as Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs.

President Prabowo Subianto appointed General Listyo Sigit Prabowo as Presidential Chief of Staff, replacing Dudung Abdurachman, at the State Palace in Jakarta on Thursday (1 October).

Sigit’s appointment took place alongside the swearing-in of several state officials and members of the Red and White Cabinet.
