List of Trans-Java Arterial Roads Banned for Trucks During Eid Holiday 2026
JAKARTA — The government has implemented operational restrictions on freight transport across several sections of national non-toll roads during the 2026 Eid holiday transport period.
The policy has been established by the Ministry of Transportation working alongside the Ministry of Public Works and the National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri) through a Joint Decree (Surat Keputusan Bersama) numbered KP-DRJD 854 of 2026, HK.201/1/21/DJPL/2026, Kep/43/II/2026, and 20/KPTS/Db/2026 to reduce traffic congestion during the homecoming and return journeys.
The restrictions will take effect on Friday, 13 March 2026 at 12:00 WIB and remain in force until Sunday, 29 March 2026 at 24:00 WIB.
The following arterial sections of the Trans-Java route are affected by the operational restrictions:
Greater Jakarta region
Banten
West Java
West Java–Central Java
Yogyakarta Special Region
East Java
The restrictions on these non-toll roads apply in both directions to ensure smooth traffic flow on arterial routes and alternative homecoming routes during the Eid holiday period.
However, the restrictions do not apply to vehicles transporting petroleum fuel (BBM), liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), livestock, fertiliser, disaster relief assistance, or vehicles carrying essential commodities.
