List of Three Protest Sites in Jakarta Today

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Three protest actions are taking place in the Central Jakarta area on Friday (10/4/2026).

Head of Public Relations Section at Central Jakarta Metro Police Station, First Inspector Erlyn Sumantri, stated that the first action is occurring in front of the Bank BRI Head Office on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, starting at 09:00 WIB.

“There is a demonstration by the Indonesian Law Students Union in the morning,” Erlyn said in his statement.

At the same time, the third action is taking place in front of the DPR/MPR Building in Senayan, organised by the Indonesian Youth Initiative Movement.

A total of 453 combined police personnel have been deployed to secure the protests.

Traffic engineering will be implemented situationally, depending on the conditions on the ground and the number of participants.

“Residents can seek other alternative routes during the demonstration,” he added.

To avoid congestion on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, drivers heading from the south to the city centre are advised to exit early via Jalan Gatot Subroto, then continue to Jalan KH Mas Mansyur towards Tanah Abang and Harmoni.

Another alternative is via Jalan HR Rasuna Said, then to Jalan Prof. Dr. Satrio, Jalan Casablanca, to Jalan Diponegoro towards Menteng.

For drivers heading from the north to the south, it is best not to cross Sudirman directly.

Drivers can detour via Jalan Kebon Sirih, Jalan Wahid Hasyim, to Jalan KH Mas Mansyur, or via Jalan Tomang Raya, Jalan S. Parman, to Jalan Gatot Subroto.

Alternative routes can also go through Jalan Ahmad Yani, Jalan Letjen Suprapto, Jalan Gunung Sahari, Jalan Mangga Besar, then enter Jalan Gajah Mada or Hayam Wuruk.
