List of social assistance programmes still disbursing this year, complete with requirements

The government is continuing the distribution of a number of social assistance (bansos) programmes throughout 2026 to help poor and vulnerable communities. Distribution is carried out in stages with reference to the National Single Socio-Economic Data (DTSEN) as the basis for determining recipients. In general, prospective social assistance recipients must be Indonesian citizens (WNI), have a valid Population Identification Number (NIK), be registered in the DTSEN, and meet the criteria set for each assistance programme. The following is a list of social assistance programmes still being distributed by the government this year. 1. Family Hope Programme (PKH) PKH is a conditional social assistance programme aimed at poor families with specific components, such as pregnant women, young children, school-age children, the elderly, or persons with severe disabilities. Requirements for PKH recipients: - Indonesian citizen with a valid ID card (KTP) and Family Card (KK). - Registered in the DTSEN. - Classified as a poor or vulnerable family. - Belonging to desil 1 to 4. - Having at least one PKH component, such as a pregnant woman, toddler, school-age child, elderly person, or person with severe disability. 2. Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) BPNT or the Sembako Programme is provided to help communities meet basic food needs through periodic distribution. Requirements for BPNT recipients: - Indonesian citizen. - Possesses a NIK registered with the Civil Registry (Dukcapil). - Included in the DTSEN. - Belongs to the desil 1 to 4 group. - Not a recipient who has been declared ineligible based on data updates. 3. Indonesia Smart Programme (PIP) PIP is educational assistance for students from underprivileged families to enable them to continue their education. Requirements for PIP recipients: - Registered as a student in an educational unit. - Comes from a poor or vulnerable family. - Holds an Indonesia Smart Card (KIP) or meets the criteria set by the government. - Registered in the national education system according to regulations. 4. Recipients of Health Insurance Contribution Assistance (PBI JK) The PBI JK programme is assistance for health insurance premium payments for the poor and underprivileged. Requirements for PBI JK recipients: - Indonesian citizen. - Has an active NIK. - Registered in the DTSEN. - Classified as poor or vulnerable based on government verification. 5. Social Rehabilitation Assistance (Atensi) The Atensi programme is provided to vulnerable groups, such as persons with disabilities, the elderly, abandoned children, and disaster victims, as well as groups requiring social protection. Requirements for Atensi recipients: - Included in the programme’s target category. - Meets the assessment results from social workers or assistants. - Fulfils administrative requirements according to the Ministry of Social Affairs regulations. 6. Government Rice Assistance The government also distributes food assistance in the form of rice to eligible families as part of the social protection programme. Requirements for rice assistance recipients: - Registered as a beneficiary family based on the DTSEN. - Classified as a poor or vulnerable family. - Meets the provisions set by the government for the distribution period. How to check social assistance recipient status The public can check their social assistance participation status through the Ministry of Social Affairs’ official Cek Bansos service by entering regional data and name as per their ID card. In addition to the official website, checks can also be made through the Cek Bansos application provided by the Ministry of Social Affairs. The government urges the public to ensure that all population data is updated if there are changes in family conditions. Data updates can be made through the village or sub-district office, local social services, or available proposal mechanisms to ensure that social assistance distribution remains on target.
