List of Officials Caught in KPK Sting Operation Over Building Rights Permit Processing
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) carried out a sting operation at the National Land Agency (BPN) office in Bogor Regency, with more than a dozen people arrested in connection with alleged bribery related to the processing of Building Use Rights (HGB).
The sting operation was conducted on Monday evening (14/9). KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said a total of 17 people were secured by KPK investigators.
“In this sting operation, the team secured a total of 17 people. Among them are a Director General from the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), the Head of the Bogor Regency Land Office, the Head of the Tangerang Land Office, and several other parties,” Budi said at the KPK’s Red and White Building in South Jakarta on Monday (14/9/2026).
Those secured comprise officials as well as private sector figures. Also among them is Golkar Party politician Fahd El Foz, alias Fahd A Rafiq.
Budi said the sting operation was related to bribery in the processing of HGB in Bogor Regency. The KPK also suspects there are other payments connected to the parties involved in the case.
“This sting operation is allegedly linked to the process of obtaining HGB, or Building Use Rights, in the Bogor Regency area, and is also connected to suspicions of other payments,” Budi said.
During the operation, KPK investigators also secured dozens of boxes and suitcases filled with cash. In addition to rupiah banknotes, the KPK team also seized foreign currency.
“In this closed investigation, the team also secured evidence, including cash in the form of rupiah and foreign currency, wrapped and packed in boxes, cardboard or suitcases, numbering around 20 suitcases,” Budi explained.
Budi has not yet disclosed the exact value of the money secured. However, he estimated the amount could reach hundreds of billions of rupiah.
“The counting is still in progress, and the estimated nominal value reaches hundreds of billions of rupiah,” he said.
Based on information gathered so far, three officials from the Ministry of ATR/BPN and the heads of land offices in the Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek) area were secured during the sting operation at the Bogor Regency BPN office. In addition, the KPK also detained a senior executive of PT Summarecon Agung Tbk.
Those secured are still under examination. The KPK has 24 hours to determine their legal status.
