List of Long-Distance Trains Delayed Due to Train Accident in Bekasi
Several long-distance train journeys in the Daop 1 Jakarta region experienced delays in departure today. PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) has expressed apologies for the inconvenience.
Manager of Public Relations for KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Franoto Wibowo, stated that the delays were a consequence of an accident involving a long-distance train and a KRL Commuter Line at Bekasi Timur Station in Bekasi City. The incident occurred on Monday night (27/4/2026).
“Several train journeys from Gambir and Pasarsenen Stations are delayed because they must wait in queue for their turns,” said Franoto in his statement on Tuesday (28/4/2026).
Franoto explained that the delays resulted from trains having to wait in sequence. Nevertheless, he assured that safety and operational security remain the top priority.
“KAI Daop 1 Jakarta extends apologies to all customers for the discomfort caused,” he said.
“For customers affected by delays or cancellations, KAI provides the option of a full ticket refund in accordance with applicable regulations, up to seven days after the train’s departure,” Franoto added.
